Training for Pilgrim

We’re so excited by how many parishes are already using Pilgrim! If you’re thinking about finding out how Pilgrim works, or how to use it in your parish, we’re putting together a programme of training events to help you.

This programme will include contributions from the core authors, and will be run by an experienced trainer. It will include a feedback from current Pilgrim groups, discussion and questions, as well as an opportunity to explore a sample session.

Three training events in the diocese of York

  • Tuesday 8 July: 10am - 1pm at St Nicholas, Beverley, York
  • Tuesday 8 July: 7pm - 9.30pm at Bishopthorpe Palace
  • Wednesday 9 July: 1.30pm - 4.30pm at St Barnabas, Linthorpe, Middlesborough

The events are aimed at clergy, Readers and lay discipleship group leaders. Anyone attending will be given FREE copies of Turning to Christ and The Lord’s Prayer plus a Leaders Guide.

You can find out more information on the diocese of York website, http://dioceseofyork.org.uk/news-events/events/pilgrim-new-teaching-and-discipleship-resource-st-nicholas-beverley/.

For information please contact Angela Bailey, Diocesan Lay Training Adviser. Please let us know that you are coming, and to which session by emailing us on training@yorkdiocese.org.

Future events

We are planning future events similar to those in the diocese of York across the country. If you’re interested in finding out more about training for Pilgrim please contact Allison Ward on pilgrim.promotion@churchofengland.org.
